THE HARBOR HOUSE
All aboard! Celebrating Tainan’s history as a sea and river harbor city, this narrow,
five-story fairy-tale house’s interior is decorated in the style of an old Chinese vessel, using natural wood,
cast-iron trimmings and brightly colored patterns that can be found on traditional Taiwanese coastal fishing boats to this very day.
The underlying philosophy of the Harbor House was to create a welcoming place for travelers from all over the world;
a house where strangers can meet, share stories and make new friends.
The fifth floor features a open split-level common room with a home cinema and large kitchen,
as well as an adjacent roof balcony with barbecue and a small outside seating area overlooking the red tiled roofs of the neighborhood.
Intimate and cozy, yet with plenty of privacy and individual bathrooms,
the Harbor House is perfectly suited for individual budget-conscious travelers,
but can also be rented whole for larger groups, extended families or social gatherings.
The three rooms accommodate 4 to 6 people each.
The Harbor House in close to the old waterfront and only a short walking distance from Tainan’s railway/bus station and its surrounding shopping area.
